Yes, it should. It has a 9amp unregulated charging system, using a stator under the flywheel. Use a voltmeter across the battery terminals while the engine is running above idle speed. It should measure more than 12.6 volts. I'm not sure at what RPM you get effective charging from this system.<br /><br />By the way, that's a 1972 100 hp Evinrude.
