Starter from a '75 70hp to a '76 135hp

Can I interchange these starters? Just got the 135, and the bendix gear on the starter is a little beat up, wanted to see if I can swap the whole starter out for the nice one on my '75 70hp. They look pretty similar, but not sure if the one from the 70hp would be strong enough Thanks.
