I purchased an Evinrude motor from a friend who thought it was an 18. My problem is there is only a piece of the ID tag left and that dosent have numbers, the hood has been repainted also. I have 2 reasons for doubt as to it being an 18, one is that the hood is shaped just like current 25 horse 2 cyl johnarudes it has 1 mixture knob but it has a shearpin prop, second it runs great it smokes my 88 15hp is it possible it's a 20 or a 25. Thanks for any help
