Hi everyone, I have heard you should replace the Zip or P tie hose clamps on the fuel lines. Does anyone know if this is needed? Has anyone ever had problems with these?
Please let me know.
Thanks

Re: Johnson hose clamps??????

In some applications, the snap clamps should be used to insure a good tight seal at the connection point. Ties will not always get this even with a good tie gun. If you have a VRO on your engine, I would suggest snap clamps at the pump. Fuel line connection to the carbs can be handled by ties easily if the fuel lines are still soft and plyable. I avoid recommending screw type hose clamps as folks seem to overtighten and squish the hose rubber out.
