I usually tighten mine up till they wont turn any more, then put a piece of heavy gauge wire thru the holes on the twist handles. Then twist them together so I know they arent comming loose. But that's just me. Im sure theres some torque spec for them, but if your careful & know the feeling as you tighten them, really snugging them up is the way to go! After all, you don't want your motor falling off!!!
