Re: 1995 95 johnson T&T motor?
The motor sets on the port side of the tilt cylinder. It's the thingy with the wires running to it. No fuse after the relays. Look for two heavy wires from the relay box. They'll be green and blue and will be connected to the motor with a two wire connector under the engine hood. Run yourself a little test. Pull the connector apart and using jumpers, go straight from the battery to the two wires. Battery positive to green and Battery pos to blue makes the engine up down. Reverse the polarity to make the motor go up. If the motor doesn't run jumping straight from the battery, most likely a motor problem....brushes worn out, dirty commutator...etc. Sometimes getting the motor to run straight from the battery will get it to run from the relays.....on occasion. Don't forget to check the connector for the two wires....make sure there clean and making good contact.
