I'm trying to locate a wiring diagram for a 1968 65HP Evinrude.<br /><br />Model # is 65853B<br /><br />The problem is that at one time someone removed the outboard to rebuild it, now i have to deal with a bunch of wires hanging down at the motor and all the wires being off at the ignition switch from the last guy that tried to figure out the right combination.<br /><br />So, i need a diagram showing the wiring on the motor, and the connections between the motor and the ignition switch.<br /><br />Anyone got a manual they scan the page/pages i need? I asked a local dealer and they told me they could order a service manual, that was six weeks ago, and this project really needs to get down the road.<br /><br />The motor doesn't run, but that's because nothing is hooked up at this time. Otherwise it was rebuild, has good compression, nice and clean, etc. I just need to get the electrical under control. I spent hours upon hours on the web trying to find any wiring information for this motor and came up empty handed. I'm out of patience, out of time, and out of money.<br /><br />The only thing that i have been able to figure out is the Green at the ignition switch is battery, the red/white is choke, the gray i believe is tach but its not hooked up anywhere at the motor, and the other wires left at the switch, white and red, are unknown because they are not connected to anything on the motor, just hanging there.<br /><br />And then the wiring on the motor, ugh, everything is disconnected and hanging loose. About the only thing i have been able to piece together is the battery cable to the top of the starter solenoid, the cable from the solenoid to starter on the bottom. There is two white wires there that i assume go to the other two terminals on the starter solenoid but i have no idea which to which.<br /><br />And as i said, everything else on the motor is still a mystery. So a schematic or diagram and i'm set, just nobody has it.
