I have a 25hp evinrude 72 and cannot remove the flywheel. Yes I did remove the nut and have broken 2 removal bolt head trying to remove it. Am I missing something. thanks for the help
What are you using for a puller?<br /><br />Use grade 8 1/4"-20tpi bolts and tighten it up as far as you dare. Then lift up on the puller and tap the drive bolt with a hammer.<br />If that doesn't work, apply penetrating oil to the top of the crankshaft and wait or it to pop. Or try heating it with a propane or (better yet) mapp torch.
