I am trying to get my 1963 Evinrude motor running again. It has been sitting up and I got it out today and in order for it to run I have to keep the choke switch on. Any suggestions as to what I need to change in order that it will run without the choke always on. <br />Also what is the correct fuel/oil mixture ratio for this year motor?<br /><br />Thanks

oil fuel 40:1 1965 and up is 50:1 you may need a carb cleaning / or kit

sounds like the carbs are gummed up get kits and rebuild soaking the carbs or use spray carb cleaner and blow out with compressed air.
