I need help finding a "water pump" for this old motor. Near as I can tell, it is a model HD-25 with a serial number of 006841. These numbers are stamped into a pad on what I would call the engine block and are kind of smeary looking. Would like to know year of manufacture if possible. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Welcome to Iboats, Vintage46!

The "water pump" is hiding behind the propeller. It's not like a normal one and doesn't need regular service. But if it's not working, I've got some leads for reproduction parts.
The HD-25 (2.5hp) was made between '46 and '50, but that serial number doesn't jive with the ones used during those years. Can you double-check it - especially the leading 0. It ought to be 6 digits long like you've got.
