Salute All
I have a Year: 1971
HP: 60
WOT RPMS: 5000
Hydro electric
My question is about the link for the spark advance which connects to the top of throttle arm and then to the spark advance linkage under fly wheel. ive tried ordering it from several places no one has it anymore so ive decided to make it from alluminum rod but can anyone tell me the length of the rod to the bends? and is this rod really needed?
Thanks All

I've got the same model. I could get you measurements or whatever you need but I won't be able to relay the info you need until Monday morning.

K

If you make it, and yes, you do need it, consider making it from mild steel rod, instead. The aluminum rod they sell in hardware stores doesn't like being bent all that much. I'm positive the original is steel.

tomed01,

I don't know where you are posting from, but if it is here in the USA,just go to your local OMC/BOMB dealer and order # 313700,now known as #395448.

He'll have a minimum order of 5,so he may make you buy all 5 for a motor that old,but they list for less than $3.00 each.

And after sync/link you'll be right on,and not 'in the zone'.

DHP
