Hey I got tons of questions, and I've had tons of help so far so thanks to all in advance!

I just got two new coils today and since I've never had to put coils together I need some help. The coils are for 1977 V4 85hp. I got a piece of high tension wire, the coil, boot, and the little fitting the goes in boot for spark plug. Too bad they can't just have them put together in the first place.

I believe on those coils the sparkplug (high tension) wires just screw into the coil. Look in the receptical on the coil and see if there isn't a treaded stud sticking out.

Make sure that you measure the depth on the coil that the wire is supposed go in. Mark that much on your wire. The wires must be turned in to that depth and must have the post centered on them or it will still act like a bad coil. The other end you just measure how far back to stick the coil in and make sure that it is centered through to the wire's core. Put your boot over it and away you go.
