I HAVE A JOHNSON 15HP SHORT SHAFT OUTBOARD WITH DECAL SHOWING MODEL NO MISSING.THE SERIAL NO STAMPED ON PLUG ON POWERHEAD IS A8424307.I THINK IT IS SOMEWHERE FROM 1987-90 AS SAFETY CUTOUT SWITCH IS ON END OF TILLER!ARE YOU ABLE TO USE THIS INFO FOR AN EXACT YEAR PLEASE?

btw my 85 model 8hp has the button kill switch on end of handle so you're could be even earlier than what you think

Thanks for reply.Rang BRP in Sydney.Able to deduce from serial numbers either side of mine that were both 15hp as well and 1990 models!
