1996 evinrude 50 hp

Fuel pump not sure of its age i would like to rebuild this as a new one from the local dealer is about 258.00 is there a rebuild kit for this. this has the oil inection on this particular motor and is working fine.<br /><br /><br />dude

its working had a few issues with her cutting of and such i also think this is the original pump she came with thats why i was wanting to rebuild her so it wouldnt become a issue in the future the boat sat for two years prior to me buying it just wanted to swap the pump or rebuild it to eliminate any future issues

yes there is a rebuilt kit for it and it's around $16, but why change the whole thing and spend $258 if it's working properly? that pump rarely gives problems.

Have you checked your gas lines connectors? if they are old or the check valve in the connector is cracked they can suck in air with the gas and that may be your problem. personal experience.
