hello everyone,<br />I'm trying to get a service mannual and came up with two diffrent results<br />model # J20CRCTE <br />I know it's a johnson 20 hp ,but there is a extra letter and they don't use it in your guide. <br />Is it a 78' or 83' what is the extra letter for?<br />thank you for your time. <br />happy Memorial weekend.

CT makes the engine a 1983. E is the model run, or time frame in which the engine was built, E Is also more for the manufacturer's use.

Yes! it's an 83, 20 HP. We have a daughter, and her family in Des Moines, We also have a daughter, and her family in Florida.

J 20 CR CT E<br />J = Johnson<br />20 = 20 hp<br />CR = Canada Derated - Rope Start<br />CT = 1983<br />E = model run or suffix, for changes during the year.<br />There is no L for long shaft so that makes it a short shaft.
