Let me start off by saying this does not happen every time I use the trim with the motor running. I have blown 2 fuses while the engine is running and I use the tilt/trim. The fuse that blows is on the motor under a plastic cover. Under this cover are 8 fuses up on top and then the 4 trim relays on the bottom. The fuse is the one that is in between two of the relays. When the fuse blows the engines stops and the trim does not work. There is no power to the engine at all so I guess this is the main fuse. I have done a lot of reading in the last few days and have looked at all the wires and connections and there is no corrosion or damage that I can see.
If I did not know the year of the motor I would say it was almost new by the looks of engine. This engine has stickers on it that says it had all the updates on it. One other item of note is that the trim motor was replaced towards the end of last year. I know the previous owner of the boat and I have all the maintenance records on it. It has been kept in a garage and had all the regular maintenance.

Two questions.

1. What size fuse is suppose to be there? Currently there is a 10amp.
2. Any Ideas what might be causing this?
