Where is it?

My manual does not show the location of the Thermostat. Is it underneath the housing that attachés to the top of the head. Looks like two sets of bolts one set for the head and the other set for ????? 1987 Evinrude 50 hp.<br /><br />Any help will be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks Larry

Thats it Larry. Be careful, theres a spring in there.

That cover goes over the water passages in the head also.
