First time to this forum and it's great.
I recently was given an evinrude 25 model 25252, serial#re03620 (1972?). After a lot of tinkering I got it running and seems to run fine, but it smokes really bad. I added 1 pint of oil to 6 gallons of fuel (50:1?). Do I have the right mixture? Also, the neutral saftey switch is going bad. Had to rig a spacer to push it in when in neutral is this part hard to find?
This is my first motor boat and any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Fuel mixture

Welcome to iboats. Fuel mix is 50:1 with a good tcw3 oil. Smoking could be from a cold start, temporary flooding, old fuel, lots of things. Neutral safety switch should be available at local dealer I would think. Possibly here at iboats. You can check at the top of the page.
