What year is my motor?

I justed picked up an old Johnson 10hp Sea Horse. All I have to go on is the Model# QD-19, and the serial# 1703197. Would sure appreciate any and all info on this motor, such as year, mix ratio, plug gap, and any other knowledge about this motor. Thank You!!

Johnson QD-19<br />Year: 1958<br />HP: 10<br />WOT RPMS: 4000<br />Displacement: 16.6cubic inches<br />Cylinders: 2<br />Weight: 67 lbs.<br />Gear ratio: 15:26<br />Fuel/Oil mix: 24:1 87 octane gas to TC-W3 rated outboard oil.<br />Lower unit oil: OMC/BRP HiVis or other brand 80/90W outboard gearcase oil.<br />Spark plugs: Champion J6C (replaces J6J) gapped at .030"<br />Most that info came from <br /> The Old OMC Site.<br /> 1958 Evinrude 10hp Site (Same as Johnson but paint)<br />Hope some of that helps!
