Our boat recently cut out on the lake and required a tow. Problem was choke solenoid. Found a replacement and repaired the dust boot with liquid tape. Not sure if there was a spring that needed replacing. Can anyone tell me if the choke solenoid on this engine is supposed to have a spring? I am not familiar with the makeup of this engine.
i have the same engine, there is a spring that is part of the manual choke switch but i dont know how it would have come off with out your noticing. i also dont understand how the choke soleniod would cause your engine to die requiring a tow. that doesnt make sence either. maybe your prob. lay else where? let me know
