Default Evinrude carb cleaning

Hi guys !! Im actualy cleaning my carbs on my 74 engine lark 50 hp . Do i need to replace those little piece look like small dime ? They are in the carb kit i bought.

Those are Welch plugs, matrix.If you remove the Welch plugs that cover the passages in the fuel flow path you will need fresh ones. It is the only way to guarantee that those passages are clear. Then you wont have "just cleaned" carbs that don't work.To remove them, drill a small hole and then pry them out. After you have cleared/cleaned those tiny passages replacements fit in the "cup". Put them in with the "dome" up and tap them to expand and seal.Your Service manual should have told/showed you that. If you don't have said manual, get one. It will save you plenty in the long run.Good luck.
