reed valves

I have a 30 H.P. outboard and I would like to know if replacing the reed valves with boyesen reed valves would noticably increase the power. Also I would like to know if anyone knows how much they cost or where I can locate them online.<br /><br />Thanks

You won't see a difference worth the price.Time to go to an engine with TWO carbs.<br /><br />DHP

I have no direct experience, but the Boyesen reed set for the 30hp is the only one I've ever heard someone complain about:<br />Click here<br />It's not a good idea to go on two people's word on the internet, I just thought it would be good to bring it up as something to consider.
