A lot depends on what kind of ignition system you have. If it has points, you're out of luck. If it's electronic ignition, then you can get a kit that contains a coil that mounts under the flywheel and a rectifier, plus hardware. If you can get the flywheel off, you have it made.

The real question is whether its worth the trouble. If you are attempting to keep a trolling motor battery topped off for example, this is a lost cause as you would have to run wide open for hours to charge the battery. If its just to keep a small battery charged that supplies a radio, fish finder, and lights that's another matter. Regardless, if you draw the battery down you will not recharge it on a ten minute run back to the dock.

If you can give us a model number, we can narrow it down quite a bit. Only the earliest 15s had points.
