It sure is. My dad has one on a 1958 16' Glaspar boat. He's had it since about 1960. That boat and motor have traveled to Alaska four times from California, and has pulled dozens of water skiers over the years.<br /><br />Aside from normal maintenance, that Fat 50 has never failed to start, nor has it ever needed major work. I don't know if this guy's engine is that good, but my dad (80 yrs. old now) swears by it. This coming weekend, it's going out with him salmon fishing off Oxnard, CA.<br /><br />Fat 50s Forever!
