Hello......A part was missing from the outboard I just purchased.......<br /><br /> The outboard is a tiller 87 25hp Johnny......<br /><br /> The rod that the motor locks into/leans on when its in the run position is missing.....<br /><br /> Should I build one myself or is there a place to get one?????? Without it the motor is leaning on the transom and I can't run it.......<br /><br /> Any suggestions would be appreciated.....Warren

I made one for my 20hp out of steel rod works for me

Thanks for the comeback Jim.....<br /><br /> Did you bend it on one side and use a cotter pin in the other????......Need to make it so nothing has a chance to rattle off while i'm on the road and I can still make trim adjustments........
