I have a 1971 Johnson 25 HP (25R71S) Ser. E3438027. I noticed that it has a toothed flywheel and mounting for an electric starter motor as well as a hole by the faceplate that would accept a pushbutton switch. I am looking for a supplier or source to obtain, at least, the starter, so that I can convert it over, or back to an electric starter. :)

Here's a few places to try (used):
Twin City Outboards
Marine Parts Outlet
The best deals are likely at your local outboard junkyard if you have one nearby. I belive you're after the starter, starter bracket (to replace the plain one to the right of the carb), solenoid, solenoid bracket, start switch, and associated wiring. Any set up to '76 should work.

Welcome to Iboats!
