Cpt. I would invest in a service manual, especially if you haven't worked on outbaords before. Your library may have the manual for check out.<br /><br />Your motor has two sets of points and one condenser, under the distributor pulley. Removal of the pulley cover will expose these. Clean and gap both sets of points to .020 in. The second set of points needs to be set with the pulley turned 180 degrees away from the first set. There are faint timing marks to do this. Disconnect the killer wire on the side of the distributor and spin the distributor to check for spark. Id there is still none, suspect a cracked coil or a bad condenser.
