I got this Johnson Seahorse tank the other day and I am looking for some info on it. It measures 16 long by 9 wide by 13 3/4 tall with two Johnson Seahorse decals on the sides and another at one end that says 1/2 pint #40 oil with each gallon.
1. How many gallons? There are no markings.
2. is this a specialty tank?
3. What years were these made and for what motors. It has two lines.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Re: seahorse tank

That looks like a really old 6 gallon pressure tank. That style was used before the shorter pressurized tanks introduced in '52 I belive, which look like the more modern metal tanks.
You can see some info on it in this old Evinrude ad (1951).
