I have a 13x19 aluminum in ok condition and a 13x17 stainless steel. I had the stainless steel pitch lowered at a propeller shop when it was on a 50 hp. I have a 16' 8" aluminum boat, like a bass tracker. With 2 people only the 13x19 would run at 5250 rpm. I put the 13x17 and it would surpass 6100. Do stainless steel propellers of the same pitch run at a higher rpm than aluminum? I guess I could have the pitch raised on the stainless steel.

Generally, the stainless will turn slower because of having more cup than the aluminum , and also less blade flexing. I would stay with the stainless prop. When you have your boat loaded with gear you won't be lugging the engine.
