I have a 1975 Johnson 25 hp longshaft and I was wondering if its it possible and or how easy it would be to convert this motor to a short shaft. I use the motor on a 14' aluminum boat and when the motor is at top speed water rolls up the shaft of the motor and into the boat. I am hoping by converting this motor to a short shaft it will take care of this problem. I had an 18 hp short shaft johnson on the boat and never had this problem. any help would be appreciated
