Hi.
I'm restoring a 1958 Evinrude lightwin and I need two transom clamp screws. (The old ones were broken.) Were the thread sizes changed at any time, or do all OMC transom screws use the same thread? Can I still get these screws from a dealer or do I need to salvage some from another engine?

Thanks.
Steve

As far as I know they've always had pretty much the same threads, at least since the 50s. You can probably still get replacements, although the handle part may be different. The pad is held on with a screw once the clampscrew is in.

Thanks Willy. I'm not too concerned that the handle part may be different from the original ones, although the original ones were pretty!

Steve
