Today I purchased a small boat with a 1956 Evinrude Fast Twin Electric #15918-07203 15hp motor on it. The guy I bought it from used it once, had it tuned up and the motor ran fine a year ago. He said the motor was missing the silenoid so he just used the pull cord to start it. When I got it home I noticed there is several ignition type wires running under the back seat where the battery compartment should be to an electric start box which I think contains the silenoid and has a toggle type switch which controls the starter I believe. How do I connect the electrical wires running out of the motor to the box and from the box to the battery to see if it works (all the wires look to be there but none are hooked up). Thanks for any advice in advance.

There may be a schematic on the inside of that box with the solenoid in it.
