Hi fellas,Here in Australia we have the choice of two different octain fuels, the standard 90 and the premium 97 octain.I have a 1989 225 jonno that has just been re-ringed and honed.I have finished the break in period with premix and vro with still a little premix left in tank.My mechanic suggested i top up tank with premium fuel until all the premix is used.Do you think this will make a difference?.I suppose the theory is that it will burn cleaner leaving less carbon deposit??.Is it better to run 2 stroke motors on higher octain fuels?.
Also could someone please give me the correct champion plug details for this model motor as it is running on NGK plugs at the moment

Re: Different octain fuels

Your standard unleaded fuel is about the same as our unleaded regular, Fitz.

That is what is recommended for your engine.

Good luck. :)
