4R73C 4 hp johnson, is a long or short shaft?

I need to know if model number 4R73C, a 1973 4 hp, is a long or short shaft motor. Any help appreciated.

Given the model number, it's a short shaft. To be certain, measure it like in this diagram:

My 4R72 (short shaft) measures 15.25".

If it was long shaft the model# would be 4RL72. Good luck.
