2.5hp evinrude lower unit

ouch, while removing the two s/s bolts from the lower unit ,I sheared the head completly off the lower bolt as the bolt shaft has seized .I have little room to drill the remains out as the prop shaft is inclose proximity.I doused the area with anti-seize products but no luck yet.Should the lower unit slide off and if so,is just a bit of force needed to dislodge stuck component

If the head is sheared off and the other bolt is out, the lower unit should come off. The shaft of the bolt is probably stuck in the hole with corrosion, but a bit of moderate force should shift it. Then you can work on getting the remaining stud out with vice grips.<br /><br />Good luck.<br />Steve
