Power tilt troubles, 60 HP Evinrude c. 1990

Hello again from west Oz<br /><br />The other main problm we are having with our venerable 60 HP Evinbrude VE 60 TLENE ..(see previous post) is with the power tilt... it works most of the the time, but occasionally decides it is 'out to lunch'. Used the buttons on the side to do the job recently but on out last trip out they too occasionally didn't perform. Sounds like electrics in the controls, but then my mechanical ability is limited to the 'mecchano sets' kids had in the 60s. Can anyone advise? :)

Sounds is what we need to hear,Knuckles.What happens when you hit that switch .... nothing but do you hear a click,do you hear the trim motor run?does something happen if you use another trim switch?<br />First quess,if the switch at the control doesn't work,but then the one at the engine does,and then neither ...... clean and tighten you battery connections.Those aren't wing nuts.They're plier nuts.<br />What was your other main problem?<br /><br />DHP
