Default Aluminum boat owners-zinc HELP!?

Just left my Lund in the salt water for a couple of days. More holes! Thought we had it figured out the first time. Moved the battery, covered it, lifter it up off the floor, ect. (Previous set of holes was on battery side of boat.) Pulled it out yesterday and there’s holes on the other side now. Right where the floor meets the transom. Tying it up next to an old Chris Craft with no zincs, but it’s on a mooring, and there is a portable generator running. My outboard has a bunch of zincs on it but I’m thinking drill a hole (another one) in the transom tonight and add a zinc to the hull. Has anyone else had or heard of a problem like this? Is it zincs? Or is it my boat? About ready to rip all the wiring right out of there……………Becoming very disapointed with the aluminum boat!!!

When you say holes, do you mean actual holes or the aluminum actually being eaten alive that will lead to holes... Just curious..Something doesn't sound right for you to have bad electrolisis in two days... Especially on the inside of the boat...Did you unhook the batteries? Try that next time and see if any more damage occurs...

Small corrosion spots. About 1/8"-1/4" in diameter. And they do go almost through. 2nd time this happened. More JB Weld. Bought a zinc at lunch. Gonna put a couple of studs in the transom. Thought the zincs on the outboard were enough. Unless there's a wire touching the hull somewhere? Or a bad bilge pump? Yes, I need a battery switch too! Leaving tied up to the camp for the weekends causing this? Yeah, couple of days in the salt/electrolytic pond!!!
