Default Problems fueling again

I wasn't able to fill up my third tank this season because of pressure build up in the fuel tank . The 2 first times were already difficult but this time it was impossible .
Blower on , blower off , nozzle up , nozzle down , side ways and 3/4 out . Even wated 10mins with the pistol completly in but same result ; no fuel enters .

I'm trying to inspect the hose vent to see if it's jamed or something but nothing so far . I'm at my last resort wich is the dealer near by...

The guy at the pump told me he had the same problem with 2 other doral boats similar to mine .

The other 2 season's were pretty much the same but I always managed to get some fuel in .

Venting issues are my only thoughts. If air gets out then fuel gets in.

I trailered the boat to a gas station before the dealer idea . I was able to fill the tank with no problems what so ever... Go figure ??

So I cleaned the hull + wax and now back in the water and ready to go again he he

Someone told me to use a straw next time at the dock , will see...

Yep had this problem too. It happened to me only once this year then I realize why. I usually tank first thing before lowering the boat to much from the lift. This year the only time I had problems was when it was lowered in the water. It was really crazy. Not even half full and gas was overflowing everywhere like a gusher. Now some of the white silicone around the hull has turn yellow.

For some reason when the boat is higher then the fill up tank then no problem. Similar to when you had it on the trailer.

I think that the problem is that the air vent is situated to close to the main fuel line . When the boat is in the water the fuel just overspills in the air vent causing pressuere build up . Nothing gets in or out...weird ?

I was told blowing air in the vent using a straw or something works . I'll will try it next time but now I'm still on the same tank .

Make sense. Blowing air in the gas vent lines doesn't sound to healthy tho.

This weekend it overflowed a bit during the first 10 gallons even if the boat was high of the water. I just eased up on the gas trigger for the rest and it was fine thereafter.

Just an update. Last weekend I put another 100 liters in and ease up on the gas trigger when filling. It was fine but I could hear the gas in the gas line not flowing through smoothly. It was burping lots of air.

A fishing buddy and me went through something similar with a 24 parker, worse part about it was that it took about a half an hour to fuel up. 30 minutes of fishing out the window gets old quick. Turns out that it was the screen on the overflow vent, the whole screen was caked up so bad that all the air that went in during fueling had no where to go but back up through the fill. If you have a vent screen, you may want to check it.

It's obviously a breathing problem. But both our boats are new so I doubt it is clogged. I'm thinking just a bad vent line design from Doral.

Put another 100 liters this weekend while easing on the trigger. No problems.

I'm no where near half hour tho. It used to take me 1 minute per 25 liter jerry cans (6.6 gallons). Now I'm probably at 1 1/2 minutes per can. I usually do 4 at a time so let's say 10 minutes and the cans are stored and the boat is in the water.

Well got my boat back yesterday from Poliseno . They fished the hole venting system and did not find anything unusual . Guess the problem is the design .

I will try playing with the inlet at the begening of the vent next season . To be continued...

Hum I would have to look again. I don't feel comfortable playing with gas vent lines.
