Depending on the length of you hull, you'll have either a rectangular tank or a U-shaped tank. The rectangular tank has to be removed to expose the bilge area. On the longer boats, you remove the batteries and oil tankd and lift out the bilge cover. I've found it easier to remove the tank compartment lid and lay down on the rear deack and over into the bilge area to work in there. A lot easier than trying to work over the top cap.
