I understand your point. However, with the utmost respect, if "life partner" would take something like this as an "insult" and not a little jest, then you've got way bigger issues. A marriage where the two can't laugh at and with each other is doomed.

This is Pirate's wife: It is all in fun and good humor, people just have different ideas of what is funny. Though, if it makes anyone feel any better, I smacked him for this post, only because I feel that flag should indicate: HUSBAND ON BOARD! LOL!

Lighten up, life is hard enough, you have to learn to laugh at it!

Not trying to be political here, but we have become a nation of people looking to be insulted so they can sue or harass you verbally. So I say get a life and have a sense of humor. If we cannot laugh at ourselves and our spouses, who can we laugh at?

Or fruitfull. 29 years married and running. Neither of us find that type of humor humorous. Its too easy and expected. That flag is a real morale booster for both sides. Hmmm?
Our society does love our self inflicted pain.

My wife has spent 32 years laughing at me and I believe it has kept her young looking so she can keep on laughing

When I see those fake balls and chains come out at a wedding reception I know the marriage is doomed. So far I'm batting 1000. It all has to do with mutual respect. Don't have any don't expect any.

Hmmm. This seems to fit right along with a number of other things that society (us? / them?) seem to gravitate to today. Be it mocking, making fun of, hurting, or a host of other inflictions (signs like this, verbal, or physical) upon other people that for what ever reason, get amplified. This flag is but a very small example. Look at the news, the t.v. shows (cable especially) where stupidity is celebrated.

Personally, I don't get it. Be it as simple as possibly offending some ones feelings (especially your spouse?), or attacking one another (UFC), what is the attraction? Don't misunderstand me, I am all for making people laugh, with or at me even (especially the Admiral), but not when it is hurtful.
