Yes I do live in Wisconsin but, the eagles are back in town fishing in the river. This morning I was able to see 30+ Bald Eagles fishing and flying on the ice patches of the Mississippi river.

Summer will be here soon.

I saw, and personally photographed, a bald eagle last summer when he was fishing. Just like on TV, they swoop down, grab it with their talons, and eat it up in the tree. I got photos of it flying with a fish in its talons. I mean, I'd never even really seen one in real life prior to that day, and I only brought my camera to take family photos. Needless to say I slapped the telephoto lens on it in record time and snapped away. Anyone wanting to see those photos let me know and I'll post them here.

Temp outside shows over 60 degrees boat is all ready to go so now I out to see what kind of ruts I put in the yard pulling it out of the winter storage space.

This time of year near Wabasha, MN there is a place where you see as many bald eagles as you would want to see.

There is a spot in the river where the ice opens up and the bald eagles all stand on the ice at the edge of the water. They are flying around and plucking fish from the water. It is quite the scene.

We have blak eagles at our cabin that fly up and down the river real low looking for a meal. Our friends keep a special eye out for their Chihuahua, because its just about the right size. A furry happy meal if you will..

Please post the pics! We have quite a few bald eagles here in the area,they even run a local bus tour to view them near the river. Truck drivers going north and south on I-39 go crazy when seeing them within eyesight of the highway.

Yes it was nice and warm today. SPRING IS HERE. Worked on the old truck after school today with the garage doors open man that was nice!:D:cool:

A sure sign of spring around here is the Coast Guard sending out the ice breaker to open the St Mary's River channel

We even get the Bald Eagles down here, both offshore and there are a bunch up at Big Bear Lake which is less than 100 miles from Downtown LA . . . I have also seen them swoop in and pull out fish with their talons there. Amazing sight. I am still waiting for a California Condor sighting. Have been since I was a kid. Some of the captive releases were in the Grand Canyon and I keep expecting to see them soaring over the east end of Lake Mead, still waiting . . . :(
