100hp mercury... no spark

I have a 1988 inline 4 cylinder 100hp 2 stroke mercury whith no spark. im not real familiar with boats so if anyone has any advice or caoud put me on the right path i would appreciate it. thank you

Here's a simple test for it if you have a DVA or OHM meter.

Do you want a engine wiring diagrham or a schematic for the ign. system.

yes that way i can follow the wire and know for sure what parts are what, also like i said i dont know much about boats.. and i have qiuckly found an outboard isn't much like a car motor

i was wondering if it is low on oil will it prevent it from sparking... and is it ok to use regular 2 stroke oil or is there a special oil
