welcome to i boats, when you title your post put a subject in it, please. 99.9% of the people need some help. you just connect this to the water hose, and place it over the water intake on the engine, turn water or before trying to start engine. start engine, and keep at idle, let the engine run, for about 10 to 15 minutes. there are also and adapter that connects to this if you want to use one of the salt removing chemicals. do not leave engine unattended, kids, dogs, and vibration have been known to knock them off, and the engine overheat, and is toast.
