I recently put a monster tower on my Bayliner 175 (17.5' / 135 HP). One thing I noticed when my wife was pulling me up was that the front of the boat come up a lot more than when I was pulled from the transom hook. I'm 230 lbs and in the boat were just my wife and 4 small kids. I definitely had a significant impact on how the boat handled at least while being pulled up.

You might want to talk to whomever you plan to purchase from for their advise. I had spoken with monster tower support before I got mine and they were quite helpful. I'm sure you'll find the same for any of the manufacturers.

i think you will be alright. on my last boat, a 15' glastron, i had a custom built tower, and it worked out great. the only thing is the boat wouldnt track straight if i cut really hard.

I bet the right sized smart tabs would solve this. Contact them and see if they have any advise. It might make for a better wake too, if they keep the nose planted.

From personal experience, tabs tend to make the wake a little soft and washy, but who knows, might be just on the boats i have owned!
