Can some one tell me about this motor? sea king 40 hp-- model# gg18805a

serial#36x883425
Is this a johnson motor?
Can parts still be found?

It is a 63 built by the Gale devision of OMC.63 was the last year of production.
It is basically identical to the Evinrude/Johnson of that era.Routine parts are readily available some right here at iboats under the E/J applications.
Many new and used parts are at a number of venders on the net,ebay and through BRP dealers.The basic design dates back to 51.Excellent motors
reliable and easy to work on.Perhaps a little thirsty.
