i have a V16 SC. my wife hates the side console and wanted a windscreen but i vetoed her as i know she is only going to go out once in a great while and the walktrhough console would be a pain for me. i have had it for a season of fishing now i bought it at the begining of spring this year its a 2009. they have a lot of nice features. mine has a 4 stroke 50hp motor and its plenty of power to get up on plane reasonably well and scoot along at around 28mph. thats plenty fast enough for me in a boat, i always worry about hitting lost skiers or floating logs. any faster and i would prolly not ride at that speed anyway. mostly i lake fish in wisconsin and its plenty fast enough to go anywhere on any of the inland lakes in a reasonable bit of time.
im not a tournament fisher so i dont need that scoot and fish speed of a bass boat.
the other consideration is fishing alone or with friends. with one other person my 16 is just about right 3 and it starts to get cramped 4 people and its right unpleasant. i try to keep it to just two me and a friend at most.
