Default cooler seat for 1720 CC

I need to replace the captain's cooler/seat on my Key West 1720 Sportsman. The base for the old cooler measures about 31X16. An Igloo Marine 72 might fit. Any suggestions would be helpful.

If you can't find an exact fit, just get one that fits your needs. You can unscrew the mounting hardware from the deck and reposition the hardware to fit your new cooler dimensions. Just be sure to seal the old holes (and the new ones) with 4200 or 5200 when you are done. I just moved one side of my hardware (less than 1/2 inch) to fit the new cooler when I replaced mine last spring. I went with a 70 qt Coleman (non-padded top) from Wal-Mart.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it was a good fit, considering some of the hardware was already in the right place.

The cooler seat for the 1720 is either a 72 qt or a 94 qt. If you have a fiberglass cooler holder it's the smaller cooler, and it it's the SS holder you have the 94qt.

Just a follow-up. Purchased an Igloo Marine 72 and plopped it in the base...thought it would be a much tighter fit...very loose and just doesn't look right...I hate to reposition the screws and hardware to accomodate the new Igloo...still "pondering"...Key West boats was little help...they just told me that they don't have that part for my boat, and had no further suggestion...
