I am researching before I consider the purchase of this 1966 CC. I am yet to identify the exact model to compare and whatnot on the internet, but will go see the boat this weekend at the dock and hopefully be able to get some serial numbers to reference with the Chris Craft records.

Should I invest in a Marine surveyor to inspect the boat ? It is a plywood structure, and obviously old, so this is my main concern. If you look at the link, the boat looks in great condition, I will have more to report on Sunday.

What other things should I look for, other than the engine and structure that I guess the marine surveyor will look at ?

This is my first "cruiser" boat, so im very nervous about being shafted somehow.
