When I put my thorttle contol in gear it is very hard to move forward or reverse. Worse in the forward direction. In neutral everything is OK. How do I remove the controls to repair.
When throttle is put into gear it becomes very difficult to move forward or reverse. Forward is much worse. In neutral there is no problem. How do I remove for service.
The symptoms you mentioned point to a lower shift cable problem. It's the cable that runs from the engine to the stern drive. I'd start there, rule that out and then work on the shifter, if necessary.
