I have a 2003 172 Key West. There is a strong odor of fuel coming from beneath the console and rear battery compartment. I see no reason for the odor. No signs of fuel anywhere. Ran a snake camera down the fuel hose after disconnecting from tank and no evidence of anything wrong. I will be pressurizing all lines with 3 pounds of pressure today.If anyone has this problem or a solution to it I would be thankful for a reply.

You're on the right track with the pressurization. If you detect no leak you are probably detecting a very normal vapor condition typical of roto molded tanks. There is a permeation limit set by the Coast Guard with regard to fuel vapors and every major builder today uses tanks that are within those limits. The smell is more apparent in boats that have been kept under covers or inside a closed garage. Ventilation may be the key.

I have a 1997 1720 Key West w/90hp. I keep getting water in my fuel. I have installed a water separator. Have checked all the lines. Any ideas?

check your vent line to make sure it is not disonnected. I just fixed mine. After filling the fuel tank I notice a very bad smell of gas in the cabin. After checking aferything else i found the vent line had broken from the fitting that comes out the side of the boat.
